WELCOME

 

Hello and welcome to my web page.  Writing has been my life-long passion.  Since early childhood, I tortured my siblings with by writing and directing annual plays. For most of my life I’ve been writing—starting with a pad of paper, then moving to an orange Smith Corona typewriter, and now to a trusty laptop.  I have written two books, manuals, articles, editorials and short stories in the legal, travel, science fiction, and mystery genres. 

 

Having spent many family vacations on Cape Cod, I especially love the ocean and myths and tales about the sea.  My short story, Claire De Lune, a modern retelling of the Selkie (Seal Woman) myth, will be published in a Dragon Moon Press anthology in 2010.  I’m attracted to Selkie or Seal Woman stories because these female sea creatures have the best of both worlds--the power to swim in the ocean and dance on the land. 

 

I am currently writing a fantasy novel with a nautical theme which thrills my husband who is a dive master.  I had also previously written a mystery novel, Deadly Sacrifices, set in Boston and several short stories.  I currently live and teach in the Jacksonville, FL area.  I look forward to hearing from you.
